Habeus Corpus R.I.P.

In memoriam, please enjoy 3hive’s soundtrack (courtesy of T.S.O.L.) to the new Military Commissions Act of 2006 that George W. Bush recently signed into law. It is the true sound of liberty according to our President and our Congress. Others disagree. Don’t forget to vote next month.

  1. It's "habeas corpus", but no sense in nitpicking a completely inaccurate claim.
To claim that battlefield terrorists and non-citizen terror associates should be given access to our legal system for remedy is just weak sauce. Never been done before, not by the glorious FDR, not by any wartime president and I'm glad it's not happening now. The last thing I want is Khalid Sheik Mohammed getting a 28 month sentence like Lynne Stewart.
The right to Writ of Habeas Corpus is the same for citizens as it ever has been, except when it has been truly suspended, as with Lincoln in the Civil War. So get real, and everyone do not forget to vote, preferably sometime after you THINK.
    In the meantime, enjoy music.

  2. I guess I am more old school. The Ramones and the catchy riffs they ingrained into their best songs are in my opinion kind of lacking here.
I much more like the Ettes a little further back in these posts.
