The first one's free. You have to give your email address in exchange for the goods, but hey, free ain't always free. Following the first remix EP will be Sometimes They Drop By on September 23. Two more EPs will follow on October 21 and November 25.

The first EP centers around three standout tracks from Lust Lust Lust, presented in radically different new versions. Hypnotic Japanese electro producer 80KIDZ, Alec Empire-conspirator Nic Endo, and Danish DJ superstar Trentemøller reconstruct these now familiar songs into new shapes.

Tracklisting:
1. Dead Sound (80KIDZ remix)
2. Aly, Walk With Me (Nic Endo remix)
3. Lust (Trentemøller Remix)

Whenever people ask me about new music, I'm still recommending it. A new album from the band was originally scheduled for release over a year ago. The reason for the delay is unclear. But the band recently released a track from the new album, titled Transit Transit. The date given for the album? "Soon enough." The band, currently labelless and happily so, is offering the track as a pay-if-you-wanna .wav file download on their website. Or you can stream the song, "Audience No. 2," on their myspace page. You can stream <strike>the whole album</strike> thirty second clips of the new album now at last.fm. Just so you know I've danced with Beth backstage at the hors d'œuvre table. Yes, it was one of the highlights of my music geek life. That moment is diametrically opposed to the time Suzanne Vega sicked her manager on me—this after her label had asked me to interview the prima donna. Did I say that out loud? Good.

In it characters travel through the earth's core via a "gravitube" that quickly drops passengers to the other side of the world. I'd love to have access to that contraption so I can see my favorite Swedish bands like every weekend. But in this case truth is better than fiction and the Mary Onettes are traveling "over-mantle" for their first ever tour of the U.S. Sweetness.

Plus they've recently released the new album by one of our all-time heroes: Bob Mould. PLUS, oh yes, there's more, last week they launched their own blog to keep close track of the comings and goings of their artists. Stop by and download their new label sampler, for free. It's not clear, and I'm a too lazy to confirm, if these are the tracks from that sampler; just dig in And thanks Anti for sharing! Love the Cadence Weapon!
