Make a Muxtape

The idea behind Muxtape is simple: upload 12 tracks and make a streaming mixtape for friends, family, pets, clergy, etc.. I'm sure it'll eventually come with vanity stats, Google ads, and a bunch of other bells and whistles but for now I'm liking the spartan interface. Here's my first go: samaman.muxtape.com

Anti-Blog

The Anti label is hard at work putting money and elbow grease behind bands about whom we've only spilled out a word or two: DeVotchKa and Islands. Plus they've recently released the new album by one of our all-time heroes: Bob Mould. PLUS, oh yes, there's more, last week they launched their own blog to keep close track of the comings and goings of their artists. Stop by and download their new label sampler, for free. It's been a busy year for the 3hive kids; new jobs, new kids, and new mortgages are keeping us from sharing the sharing as often as we'd like. We've been shirking our self-mandated responsibility of alerting you to the best free music floating around on the interweb, and it hurts. I'm crying on the inside.
