Kelley Stoltz New Album & MP3
Since the last time we checked in with Mr. Stoltz he up and got himself a deal with Sub Pop and made himself a fine new record. It's called Below The Branches and you can get your hands on the whole thing next week, or a couple of the tracks right pronto like:

Memory Collector [MP3, 2.9MB, 192kbps]
Last Day to PLUG 3hive
Today's the last day to vote in Plug's independent music awards. 3hive is up for music website of the year. You have to vote in at least five categories for your ballot to be valid. Our mothers would be so proud...

Spanking New Human Television MP3
Human Television have a new album in the works which — based on this preview track — finds them trading their frenetic Wedding Present-like sound for something a bit more dreamy and soaring. Listen for yourself:
I Laughed [MP3, 3.0MB, 192kbps]
New Emperor X MP3s
Emperor X is all updated with three new(er) MP3s, including the track that Sam and I are absolutely geeked on: "Shut Shut Up."
Film School in Session
I've been waiting for this record for a long time. Film School's self-titled album is out today. Check out the player for a preview or for instant gratification, the MP3:
Pitfalls [MP3, 4.6MB, 128kbps]
New Seedy Gonzales MP3
As mentioned in my original post, Seedy Gonzales turn out rock 'n' roll street poetry Lou Reed style. This is even more true of "Page 28," from their forthcoming Bird That Sings, which you can download directly here.
Free MP3s From Bleep
Usually 3hive does not condone anything other than pure, unadulterated, free (and legal) MP3s: no strings attached. In this case we'll make an exception. Available now, nine tracks from the Bleep family. All you have to do is register with the site — which is well worth your while anyway if you dig the whole electronic scene. Bleep's the iTunes equivalent for the digirati. Get the tracks and details here (via disquiet).

Of Montreal Updated
One of my New Year's resolutions (is it still correct ettiquette to speak of resolutions 10 days into the new year?) is to use this junk drawer more. Fill it up! There's so much great music to be had, but keeping up with it all is near impossible. It kills me to think we didn't tell you about these two amazing songs from last year. Get them now!
Wraith Pinned to the Mist (and other games) [MP3, 3.9MB, 128kbps]
Requiem for O.M.M. 2 [MP3, 2.1MB, 128kbps]

3hive Readers' 2005 Year-End List
As the one who started this whole page views competition with my 3hive brethren, it's only appropriate that I squash it with the people's votes. By "people," I mean 3hive visitors. And by "votes," I mean a fuzzy number crunch of page views, search queries, comments activity, and download clicks. So here it is, a collective 2005 Year-End List to call your very own. Now you, too, can fight amongst yourselves...

Shan's 2005 Year-End List
There seems to be a gentlemanly race going on here in the Junk Drawer to see whose year-end list gets the most, to use the Internet bubble parlance, "eyeballs." Competition, schmompetition, I say. I prefer to stay above that kind of nonsense.
In other news, my niece Darden turned 1 year old on New Year's Day. She LOVES 3hive, and as a present, my year-end list is dedicated to her. I wouldn't suggest you to tell your friends and family about my year-end list just to increase "eyeballs" and make Darden feel better, but...I'd also hate for you to feel responsible for breaking a little girl's heart on her birthday...
