A few months ago, Consumers Union commissioned the Austin Lounge Lizards to write a theme song for their Prescription for Change campaign, a lobbying effort for safer prescription drugs. "The Drugs I Need," the resulting track, is perhaps the only song ever recorded that references male lactation, and it does so in such a catchy way that I find myself singing about it in all the wrong places.
Minotaur Shock Desktop Remixer
Looks like Minotaur Shock, a fine, former Melodic artist, has signed to 4ad Records. A new album, Maritime, is due June 13th, a Monday, meaning that's the UK release date. U.S. release in August. In the meantime, his debut EP for the label, Vigo Bay is available, and you can listen to and remix tracks from the EP right here.

Out with the old, in with the new... "Counting Fireflies," the MP3 originally referenced in my Langhorne Slim post, has been taken down. But the label has posted a track off the new Langhorne Slim LP, When the Sun's Gone Down, so I guess it all evens out.
